The Hampden Model H-ETS-1A-TMP Ethanol Training System is designed to facilitate the instruction of students on the process required to produce ethanol for experimental purposes. Ethanol is a very promising fuel alternative to oil since sources are widely available and ethanol is clean-burning. The student will be able to observe and control the process of producing ethanol from corn, sugar, sorghum, fruits or several other sources. When using this unit along with the Fractional Distillation option, it is possible to produce ethanol with up to 96% purity. (H-ETS-1A-CDL shown)
Options:
Fractional Distillation Unit (Table Top Unit)
Measurement Equipment
Mason Jars (1 case)
The Hampden Model H-ICS-8189-4pH-TMP Instrumentation, Controls & pH Control Trainer provides experience in setting up, tuning, operating, and troubleshooting actual instrument and control systems of the type used in the power and process industries. By simulating a different process loop, this unit provides instruction in the measuring and transducing of such physical variables as pressure, flow, level and pH. Students and trainees learn instrumentation and control techniques of standard commercial manufacturers, such as Yokogawa, and Rosemount. Various types of closed-loop control: on/off, proportional, proportional plus integral, and proportional plus integral plus derivative, as well as a variety of final control devices, including electric, pneumatic and electronic are covered.
The Hampden Model H-BIO-100 Bio Diesel Demonstrator is ideal for the small producer using the same protocol and with the same quality construction as the larger units. Bio Diesel units are chosen for their rugged design, ease of use, no wash process protocol and price/capacity ratio.
The Hampden 44 foot Gooseneck Trailer comes complete with air conditioning and electrical power included in the system. Other options are generator system to run air conditioning and electrical power, recharge capability through direct plug of power source. The trailer is used as a mobile training facility and is designed to haul equipment to different training sights.
Options:
Video System Package
Storage Units
Workbenches
The Hampden Model H-6150-TT Liquid-To-Liquid Extraction Demonstrator has been developed to permit student study of the fundamentals of a liquid-to-liquid extraction system. In addition to demonstrating the hydrodynamics of liquid-to-liquid extraction systems and interface control techniques, this unit can also be used to determine the mass transfer rates, heat transfer coefficients, extraction efficiency, and operating conditions at different liquid flow rates.
