The Hampden Model MFM-300 is basically a four-pole, single-phase, split-phase motor consisting of a main winding, a starting winding, a centrifugal switch, and a squirrel-cage rotor. With the addition of the starting resistor, the starting capacitor, and the permanent capacitor, it is possible to operate the MFM-300 as a capacitor start motor, a two-value capacitor motor, or a split-phase motor. Mounted on the motor is a thermal cutout switch. If an overload occurs the button will pop up. Remove the cause of the overload and, after the motor cools, depress the button to reset the switch.
The Hampden Model HMCL-4.2 Mobile Capacitance Load Cart is designed to provide a suitable capacitance load for use with REM Series AC Generators.
The Hampden Model DCM-300 is a two-pole compensated compound-wound machine consisting of shunt field, a series field, an armature winding and an interpole winding. (Shown is the DM-300 DC Machine)
The Hampden Model WRM-300 is a three-phase, four pole, wound-rotor motor consisting of a stator winding and a rotor winding with slip rings and brushes. A three-pole circuit breaker is also provided in the terminal box.
The Hampden Model HPT-100A Photo-Tachometer is a reflective speed sensor that has a range of 50 to 10,000 RPM. It is housed in a plastic case, which is provided with a retractable tilt stand to permit easy viewing.
The Hampden Model H-EWC-300AX Rotating Machine Mobile Console brings all the facilities required for a complete motors study program into one mobile console. Built around the Hampden series of 300HP machines, the console adds:

The Hampden Model H-MGI-REM Motor-Generator Interface package provides an all-in-one solution for interfacing H-REM-120, H-REM-1A, Series 2 2HP motors, Series 3 3HP motors with computers.
The Hampden Model H-REM-LC-D Load Cell is designed to be used with any standard Hampden dynamometer, replacing the circular scale. The signal conditioner measures and displays torque on a digital read-out. Two separate amplifiers are used to permit torque measurements in either English units (lb-ft) or SI units (N-m). Separate analog output (0-5V DC) is available via Hampden HR-1S receptacles on the rear of the unit.
The Hampden Model SM-300 is a three-phase four-pole synchronous motor/alternator of the stationary armature type. The stator winding (which may be connected wye or delta), as well as the DC field windings, terminate at binding posts on the schematic-diagrammed terminal panel.
The principle component of the MPB-300 is the magnetic particle brake. The machine is used as a motor load or generator.
The Hampden Model IM-300 is effective in demonstrating the principles and operation of a typical single-speed squirrel-cage induction motor.
The Hampden Model HMIL-4.2 Mobile Inductance Load Cart is designed to provide a suitable inductance load for use with REM Series AC Generators.
The following AC and DC Starters are found in the 300 Series:
DC-MS-300 DC Manual Starter (shown)
DC-AS-300B DC Automatic Starter
MS-300-3A AC Magnetic Starter
MS-300-YD Wye/Delta Starter
MS-300-DS Drum Switch Manual Starter (AC and DC)
ACAS-SM-300-2RA Synchronous Motor Starter
ACRS-300-C Reduced Voltage Two-step Resistance Starter
The Hampden Model IM-300-4 is a three-phase, 12-pole, squirrel-cage motor with a wound stator, and squirrel-cage rotor. A 3-pole circuit breaker is provided in the terminal box. (Shown is the IM-300 Squirrel Cage Induction Motor)
